BetOlimp does a great job of simplifying the registration process on their site with all the required information found on just one page. To create an account, you will need to enter your name and surname, date of birth, province and address, a +27-telephone number, ID or passport number, email address, and choose an email, password, and four-digit security number. At the time of writing there is no VIP or loyalty programme at BetOlimp.
At the time of writing, players can bet on no less than 30 different sports at BetOlimp. What is important to note however is that the very popular sport of Horse Racing is not available to bet on at BetOlimp. Within each sport is an abundance of different leagues from all around the world choose to from. In the case of soccer for example, you can bet on matches in more than 60 countries – and does figure does not even include international matches! The number of markets and submarkets is equally as impressive with hundreds of different markets to choose from for each fixture. Overall BetOlimp’s sportsbooks ticks a lot of the right boxes.
In order to assess the quality of BetOlimp’s odds, we used the odds overround calculation. This tool measures the probability of each selection in a bet coming true. Whilst naturally this should come to 100%, this figure does not take the bookie’s margins into consideration. For this reason, a figure of 110% or less it widely considered to be acceptable. We looked at three random matches in the English Premier League, South African Premier League and French Ligue 1. The results came to 103.9%, 108.1% and 105.1% which indicates that BetOlimp has got very favourable margins.
For most of the sports offered on the site, BetOlimp provides its players with lots of very detailed match statistics including team news, head to head information, fixtures, league tables, and even over/under betting statistics. Information like this is vital when making the most informed bet possible and we think it is great that BetOlimp have chosen to provide these statistics.

You can bet on many different leagues in several games at BetOlimp including in Dota2, CS:GO, League of Legends, and Rocket League. Compared to a lot of other betting sites who only offer one or two outright markets to bet on, BetOlimp actually provides several different esports betting markets including exact score and betting on the outcome of different maps.

At the time of writing, BetOlimp does not offer any specials betting markets.
When it comes to the live offering, at BetOlimp you can bet in-play on a wide variety of markets in lots of different matches across many different sports. We have to say, however, that we are not too impressed with the live betting interface at BetOlimp. There is no live streaming option and whilst there is a live animated updates section on few select matches, we found it to be a bit lagging which is not ideal when live betting. Crucially, there is also no cash out option when betting on OlimpBet.
On the site, there is a live score tab which shows the scores of some live sports matches, however we noticed that some of the matches which were shown here, were not even able to be wagered on at BetOlimp.
BetOlimp is licensed and regulated the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board and is bound by the rules and regulations of the National Gambling Board and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act for added security. BetOlimp’s design is very simple and clean. The red and yellow colour scheme looks great but making the sportsbook a dull grey colour is a very questionable choice. In terms of the usability, everything on the site is easy to find with all the tabs, promotions, and banners laid out nicely. The betting process from start to finish is very straightforward. As previously mentioned, the statistics section on the site is very comprehensive and helpful. The site also has a Betting Previews blog section, but this has not been updated since 2017 and the articles are now very outdated.

This site also works very well and provides a great mobile betting experience.

Overall, BetOlimp is a good betting site, but there are many areas where the site could be improved. If you are looking for a many betting options, with quality odds, where you can bet on mobile and take advantage of some great sportsbook offers, then BetOlimp might be the place for you. That being said however, the in-play betting experience left us a bit disappointed, as did a lot of the outdated (or lack of) information that is found on the website. Having no responsible gambling section, no cashout, no live streaming, and no 24/7 customer service are also very big issues. The sportsbook offers also have a lot fine print which could make withdrawing your winnings somewhat challenging. If BetOlimp can improve on these aspects, then the future will surely be bright for this betting site.

We also found their customer service to be prompt and there were no awkward pauses between questions. Olimp confirmed that they strive to process withdrawals to South Africans within 24 hours, something we haven’t tested ourselves yet but will in the future.
